A Guide to Information in Section D
Cultural and linguistic services have been mandated for federally
funded program recipients in response to the growing evidence of
health care disparities and as partial compliance with Title VI
of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The major requirements for the
provision of cultural and linguistic services for patients in
federally funded programs are included in this section.
