Where do I get my lab work done and how do I get my results?

If you need to have lab work done, your doctor will direct you to the lab used by your medical group. There may be more than one lab location that you can choose from. Generally, the results for your tests will be sent to your doctor. Ask your doctor if he or she will share the results with you by mail, by phone, or if you need a follow-up appointment.

If your medical group has a patient portal, your results may also be available there for you to view. And some of the major lab and imaging facilities also have online patient portals where they will post test results. Ask when you are there.
