Francesca “Cesca” Luzuriaga recently retired from a distinguished career as an independent business development consultant. Before that, she served as CFO, Controller and Treasurer of Mattel, Inc., and COO of Mattel Interactive, and as a financial analyst in the manufacturing division of Xerox.
In addition to the SCAN Health Plan board, Ms. Luzuriaga also sits on the boards of the SCAN Foundation and Alive Ventures, a startup studio that creates and funds new brands, products, and services that help us age more joyfully and enjoy later life.
Until December 2021, Ms. Luzuriaga served as a Director on the Office Depot Board, which she joined in 1998, when the company was Boise Cascade; the name change occurred after the purchase of OfficeMax (now Office Depot) in 2003. She has also served on the Boards of Providian Financial, SuperValu and Mossimo.
Ms. Luzuriaga holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a BA from Pomona College.
