Hear how Peer Advocate Dan S. describes joining the team at age 78.
“Those first few weeks were challenging. Can I dust off all those cobwebs in my brain? Can I learn the new language of healthcare with all those acronyms and rules? Can I regain a sense of purpose in my life? Since that time and up to the present, the answer is a qualified ‘YES!’
“The caring attitude of the Advocates not only touches the SCAN members, but also touches the whole Advocate team. The joy I feel by helping others is immeasurable.”
