SCAN has partnered with CareLinx by Sharecare to give you non-medical, in-home support when you need it. CareLinx’s caregivers can help with everyday tasks so you can stay independent in your own home.
A CareLinx caregiver can support you by:
- Doing things like light house cleaning and laundry.
- Preparing your meals or snacks.
- Providing a ride to an appointment, pharmacy, or grocery store.
- Setting up medication reminders.
- Helping with personal needs like bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
- Keeping you company when you want someone to play a board game with, watch a movie, or go for a stroll.

- Call CareLinx at (866) 406-0822 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Central Time), Monday through Friday or Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Or go to carelinx.com/SCAN to start the process. CareLinx’s online portal lets you view and select caregivers, message with them, and create tasks for them to help you with in your home.

How many hours do I get with CareLinx, and is there a cost?
As a SCAN Affirm member, you have up to 40 hours of CareLinx services during the year. There is no cost to you.
I love my CareLinx caregiver. Will I have the same one for all my visits?

Are caregivers licensed, and how are they screened?
CareLinx caregivers include a wide range of professionals like retired registered nurses. Some caregivers have a certified nursing assistant or home health aide license, but these licenses aren’t required to be a caregiver. CareLinx does extensive background screenings and offers continuing education for caregivers to ensure the best quality of care.
CareLinx will work with you to match you with a caregiver who has the experience that meets your individual needs.
Can a caregiver take my dog for walks without me?
Yes, as long as both you and your caregiver are comfortable with the arrangement.
