Choose from a variety of healthy foods including fruits, vegetables, dairy products, frozen meals, dry goods, and more.If your SCAN plan includes the Instacart benefit, you have a monthly allowance amount to spend on good-for-you foods through Instacart! This allowance does not roll over from month to month because we want you to eat healthy all year long. So, spend your allowance every month.
Wondering how it works? You’ll use your SCAN OTC card as a payment method. Don’t worry, your Instacart allowance is separate from, and in addition to, your OTC allowance. Enter your card number once, and you’re good to go for the year. We’ll update your allowance every month in your Instacart account.

1. Go to the Instacart SCAN page and create your online account.
2. Add your OTC card information in the payment section under account settings.
3. Select the store and begin shopping.

Yes, you can order by phone by calling 1-844-981-3433 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT.

Q. How often does my benefit allowance renew? (e.g. monthly, quarterly)
Your allowance renews quarterly.
Check your Evidence of Coverage to find details about your allowance renewal.
Q. Will my benefit allowance roll over if I have a remaining balance?
No, your balance will not carry over from one benefit period to the next. For example, if you don’t spend your allowance by the end of the quarter, the amount you don’t spend will not rollover to the next quarter.
