93 percent of SCAN employees say: ‘I'm proud to tell others I work here.’

LONG BEACH, Calif., June 22, 2021— SCAN Health Plan, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit Medicare Advantage plans, is proud to announce that it has been certified a Great Place to Work®, the most definitive “employer-of-choice” recognition that companies aspire to achieve. SCAN was recognized after a survey of its employees revealed it to be a high-trust workplace where employees say they feel good about contributing to the organization’s mission to keep seniors healthy and independent.

SCAN’s Great Place to Work Certification comes after a recent survey of the organization’s more than 1,300 employees revealed:

• 89%of employees say it is a great place to work, compared to 59% of employees at a typical S.-based company.
• 94% of employees say, “I feel good about the ways we contribute to the community.”
• 93% of employees say, “I'm proud to tell others I work here.”
• 92% of employees say, “Our facilities contribute to a good working environment.”
• 92% of employees say, “When you join the company, you are made to feel welcome.”
• 91% of employees say, “Our customers would rate the service we deliver as ‘excellent.’”

In addition, when employees were asked what makes SCAN Health Plan a great workplace, they frequently used words like “home,” “community” and “culture” in their responses.

According to Great Place to Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly and have a fair chance at promotion.
