An All-New SCAN for You

Have you noticed SCAN’s brand-new website? Not only does scanhealthplan.com look different, but we’ve made it easier for you to find information and manage your benefits quickly and easily.

For example, you can still use the website to go to scanhealthplan.com/findadoctor to get a listing of the doctors, specialists, pharmacies, hospitals and more that are in the SCAN network.

But now, you’ll also be able to find the hospitals, pharmacies and other healthcare providers a specific doctor works with.

“These are improvements we made based on what seniors across the country told us they wanted. “It’s important to us that whatever changes we make are meeting your needs,” says SCAN Vice President Jennifer Brooks-Mason. “Not what we think you need, but what you’ve told us you need.”

Look for changes soon to your SCAN online member account that will make it easier—and more fun—to take care of your health. In addition to everything you can do now, you’ll be able to sign up for useful information and motivating challenges matched to your health interests.

Also coming soon: A mobile app to download to your phone! This puts everything in your member account at your fingertips, wherever you are.

What won’t be changing on the website, your SCAN online account, or the app is the high level of security members can rely on. “We take protecting your information very, very seriously, with safeguards that include multifactor authentication and extraordinary data protection layers,” explains Jennifer.

1) Get a SCAN online account if you don’t have one yet. Nearly half of SCAN’s members are taking advantage of this feature. If you’re not one of them, your online account is waiting! Register at scanhealthplan.com/members. If you need help signing up for or using your SCAN online account, call SCAN HEALTHtech at 1-833-437-0555 (TTY: 711), 24/7.

2) Sign up for electronic copies. Did you know you can receive materials like your ANOC, Monthly Summaries, this newsletter and more by email? Electronic copies are better for the environment, save money and solve where to store all that paper! To tell us how you want to hear from us, log into (or sign up for) your SCAN online account, then:

  • Go to “Communication Preferences.”
  • Mark which materials you would like to receive electronically.
  • Sign up for text messages if you like quick and easy notifications on certain topics.

3) Let us know what you think. “We’re dedicated to making the website and other tools work for our members,” Jennifer says. If you like the new changes or have other ideas about how we could improve, we want to hear from you. You’ll find both our email and mailing addresses on the back of this newsletter.
