After Josie was encouraged by a fellow nurse practitioner to try geriatric medicine, she found she loved caring for older adults.

One of her favorite quotes is by Dr. Seuss: “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” She enjoys spending time with her older patients and appreciates the life lessons gained in listening to their stories and experiences.

Josie works to improve the health and quality of life for her patients by promoting healthy lifestyles, facilitating healing and educating on how to manage chronic disease. She is excited to bring high-quality medical care and support to her SCAN patients, backed by a company she is proud to represent.

Before pursuing a career in nursing, Josie was a private classical piano instructor. Music is still an important part of her life playing piano and accompanying soloists and choirs. She also enjoys hiking and Pilates.

Josie has a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University.
