There was never any doubt to Calina that she wanted to care for people as a nurse. She finds caring for older adults especially rewarding because she can help people at a time in their lives when they need it most.

Calina builds meaningful relationships with her senior patients and their families to ensure they receive whatever is needed to support their best health. This includes bringing primary care services to SCAN members in the comfort of their homes.

Calina’s personal approach to patient care is reflected in her favorite quote by memoirist and poet Maya Angelou: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

When not caring for her senior patients, Calina is enjoying spending time with her husband Michael, son Jack and dog Jersey—as well as traveling and exercising.

Calina received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Widener University and a Master of Science in Adult Gerontology Primary Care from Gwynedd Mercy University.
