Having your job and your passion intersect is a blessing. And that’s indeed what happened when I joined the SCAN Health Plan Embrace team! My calling to help others – especially those in need, whether emotional or physical – has always guided my vocational path. So, it was no surprise I gravitated toward the healthcare industry over the years in various capacities. 

My recent marketing and sales consultant role has been the most impactful. I’ve had the privilege to meet with seniors and other Medicare-eligible folks, hear their stories and help educate them and their families on the often-confusing Medicare healthcare options. Encountering situations where a transition to a senior living community was a need for some Medicare Beneficiaries led to my discovery of SCAN’s Embrace Health Plan and drove my determination to become part of the organization!  

SCAN Embrace was like NOTHING I had come across in my experience helping seniors make difficult healthcare decisions – especially those transitioning to or living in a senior living community. The SCAN Embrace Plan is an Institutional Special Needs Plan (I-SNP), developed around the unique and specific needs of living and thriving in a senior community setting.  The model of care involves bringing the medical care team right to you through a mobile clinical team with a dedicated Nurse practitioner at the helm. It’s Proactive care, right in your home and right when you need it!
